TUXC Top-Ranked New England Team in Preseason

The Jumbos enter the 2012 cross-country season as the top-ranked team in the New England region and the 6th-ranked team nationally. The Jumbos, who return 6 of their top 7 from their 2011 team which finished 9th at nationals, will strive to exceed these high expectations during their fall campaign.

Nonetheless, the Jumbos’ high preseason ranking means little. Despite TUXC’s strength, they will face stiff competition within the region; nationally, 3 New England teams are ranked in the top-10 and 6 are ranked in the top-35. To stay afloat in the competitive New England region and excel on the national stage, TUXC cannot dwell on the preseason hype. Luckily, the Jumbos will not settle for a 6th place national finish. Their sights are set on higher goals.
