Sophomore Jeremy Arak won the high jump smashing his previous career best with a jump of 6'8". This jump is the teams first national provisional mark of the season. In addition to Arak, freshman Ted McMahan placed 6th in the event with a jump of 6' while battling an illness. The duo proved they are prepared for a strong season, and should make the high jump one of the marquee events for the jumbos this year.
Following the successful high jump sophomore Dan Marcy took to the runway in the triple jump and did not disappoint. With a best mark of 43' 8.5? Marcy took third in the event, rounding out the Jumbos day with 20 points.
Arak, McMahan, and Marcy will join the rest of the team in competition this upcoming weekend at the Tufts Invitational where the team hopes to make a splash in all running and field events.
