The air crackled with excitement at MIT as the entire 3k field PRed. The crew was led by Skye Isard at 9:22, followed quickly by Sam Krumholz at 10:01 and Steve Leibowitz at 10:02. Jamil Ludd and Dave McCleary went one, two in the hurdles and Skip Pagel PRed with a 8.76. The 4x400 was comprised of 4 strong legs with James Bradley, Sam Dozor, Skip Pagel, and David McCleary.
The field events saw some serious performances as Ted McMahan got back to early season form with a 6-2 high jump. The pole vault was truly the event of the meet as Rob Lorie and Tim Bassell both PRed big and qualified for Div III's with 13-0 each. Tim has seen a 2 foot improvement over the last 2 weeks. Jason Galvin had the 2nd best throw of his life marking 15.07 meters in the weight and Tyler Groff got over the 40-0 mark with his bomb in the weight.
BU saw a 78% PR rate with 18 of 23 athletes posting new personal bests.
Freshman Will Forde ran PR's of 6.72 and 22.94 followed quickly by 3 other 200m PRs. Micky Ferri's 23.16, LeQuan Hunter's 23.41, and Kevin Fitgerald's 23.44 all hit the Div III mark. Trevor Williams and Dustin Virgilio also PRed with times of 50.42 and 51.75 seconds in the 400m. Nate Scott qualified in the 600m with his 1:06.93 (500m) and Marcelo Norsworthy PRed with his 1:07.51. Matt Fortin led the milers with an NCAA provisional mark of 4:11.86 follow by Matt Lacey
