Kyle prides himself on being one of the more aggressive runners in New England. Never loathe to lift the pace and take the lead when the situation calls for it (and every once in a while when it doesn't.) Marks' first year was one full of well-deserved accolades. Named NESCAC Rookie of the Year in cross country, Kyle was the top freshman finisher at the championships and the 2nd fastest freshman in the region. Kyle followed up his stellar transition to the 8k distance with a gutsy race in the New England Indoor 5000m and a phenomenal 4th place finish at the same distance at the NESCAC Championship. Nevertheless, the Indianapolis native would be the first to tell you that he didn't reach his potential in his first year and is hungry for more. Look for him and classmate Matt Rand to once again challenge for the top spots in New England XC and national qualifiers in 2011.
