This fall, Ben leaves behind the cold winters of New Hampshire for the balmy weather of tropical Medford, MA. After a highly successful senior year at Dover HS where he finished 5th at New Balance Nationals in the 3000m Steeplechase, Ben will look to take his running to the next level at Tufts. Most recently, Ben was the top freshman finisher for the Jumbos as they triumphed over the Alumni at the 2010 Alumni 5k.

In his sophomore year, Ben got off to a strong start in the XC campaign, finishing 31st overall at the Open New England Championship. He battled injuries the rest of the season but still ran in the Jumbos' top seven during championship season. He placed 208th overall at the NCAA Championship. During the track season, Ben dropped his steeple PR down to 9:12, which ranked in the top 30 nationally. Look for him to establish himself on the national scene over the next two years.

Interests: Hiking, skiing, movies, hanging with Matthew Broderick and friends. Yes, I know how cheesy that sounds.

Why Tufts: It's world renowned for its badger programs and I guess I'm supposed to be here for academics. But the running and people are great too. Also, my girl friend goes to BC so that was a plus. She has great water pressure.
