It took Jeff about a year for the benefits of his jump to collegiate training truly to pay off in full--and pay off it did. In his sophomore season, Prescott strung together several weeks of PRs, lowering his lifetime bests to 2:37.40 in the 1000m and 4:13.45 in the 1500m. These improvements didn't come as a surprise to anyone who has seen Jeff workout or chatted with him about his goals. Though 2010 marked a year of huge growth for the Wilton native, he has only scratched the surface of his new found potential. The barriers of 2:00, 2:35, and 4:10 will be just the first step for Prescott as he moves towards checking off even higher goals.
