Justin Chung Leads Jumbos at All New Englands

All New Englands marked the start of the championship season as well as the return of senior co-captain Josh Kennedy. The team started all the way on the left of the line in box one but still managed to get a respectable start with Kennedy, Justin Chung, Nick Welch, and Dave Sorensen leading the jumbos with a tight front pack. Chung moved up throughout the race and finished 28th in 25:23. He was followed by Kennedy in 89th (25:56), Welch in 112th (26:08), Sorenson in 127th (26:15), and Jesse Faller in 133rd (26:22). Rounding out the top 7 were Michael Cummings (26:58) and Peter Browne (27:34).

The jumbos finished 19th out of 45 teams that toed the line and were the 6th DIII team.

The rest of the team competed in the sub varsity and with a strong start finished 11th overall. Chad Uy led the team with his 29th place finish. Ryan Lena continued his PR streak and finished 67th. A tight pack right behind Lena rounded out the top 5 with Dan Sullivan, Anyenda Inyagwa, and David Tilton finishing 73rd, 76th, and 81st respectively.
