Jumbos Led by Sorensen's Provisional Qualifier at Princeton

A trio of Jumbos travelled to Princeton University tonight in search of PR's against solid competition. Joined by regional foes, Trinity College and Keene State, all three Jumbos came home with season best performances. The highlight of the Friday evening races was junior, Dave Sorensen's 3000m Steeplechase PR. Sorensen provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the event with a time of 9:19.36. Senior Josh Kennedy and freshman Nick Welch followed up Sorensen's performance with their own in the 5000m. Kennedy clocked in with a 15:04.19 while Welch came in a few seconds back at 15:10.60. The races qualified both runners for every championship meet except the national championships. They all look to ride their strong midseason performance into the upcoming championship meets.
