Economics
Gbola comes to Tufts by way of Lagos, Nigeria via St. Paul's School in New Hampshire. A NEPSTA and ISL champion, Gbola had an immediate impact for the Jumbos. In his freshman year, he finished with All Region honors in the Triple Jump both indoors and outdoors. He also finished as an All NEICAAA jumper in the TJ as well.
Gbola set a high bar for himself as a frosh but seemed to have no trouble surpassing it in his sophomore season. In the winter, he scored in the triple at New Englands and set a new indoor best at Open NEs. Outdoors, he notched third-place finishes in both horizontal jumps at NESCACs, two fifth-place spots at DIII New Englands, and new lifetime PRs of 22-9.75 and 46-1.25.
His junior year looks to pick up right where 2010-11 left off. With a fantastic fall of training in the books, Gbola is already strides ahead of where he was entering the season last year.
