Two things are immediately apparent when you watch Brandon Severson race. First and foremost, he must be from California since he has that everlasting bronze tan that all them SoCal kids magically have (must be something in the water). The second, however, is that he gives absolutely everything he's got every time he steps on the track. Sev dug deep time and again in his freshman year to establish a solid PR of 10:29.46 in his best event, the steeplechase. As his hurdle technique improves, his times will no doubt plummet. A solid summer leading up to his sophomore year leaves him poised to break through to a new level in cross this fall.
