Third Event
The third event is a chance for the sophomore class to show its creativity. The final event of the Triple Crown, it is more elaborate than the first two events, and it is often a team event. Recent years' events have included an adaptation of the Triwizard Tournament from Harry Potter, an American Gladiators-style competition, and a shopping cart version of Mario Kart. While the main criterion for success in the first two events is raw speed (along with the ability to eat quickly and make sharp turns), the third event usually requires a greater variety of skills. While competing is always exciting, much of the fun of third event comes from watching talented runners struggle to complete tasks requiring agility, strength, and coordination.
