Jumbos Take 5th at UMass Dartmouth Invite

The men's cross country team travelled to Dartmouth, MA, last weekend to compete in the annual UMASS Dartouth "Shriners" Cross Country Invite. The Jumbos raced their top 8 in the varsity race where the top three runners for Tufts were once again Justin Chung, Dave Sorensen, and Nick Welch finishing in 18th, 28th, and 29th place respectively. They were closely followed by freshman Jesse Faller and class of 2008's own Michael Cummings.

The sub-varsity race was characterized by solid fast packs very well executed. The return of Jesse Dunklee to the 8k distance landed him a 13th place finish finishing in 27:42. Senior Peter Goransson and freshman Billy Hale followed in 15th and 17th place, respectively. David Tilton and Ryan Lena both finished just over the 28 minute mark.

Next week the Jumbos head home to the farm course in Grafton, MA.
