First Win Comes at Home

The first win of the year didn't come easy as the Jumbos edged out Amherst by one point at the only home meet of the year. While about half of the team rested, the scoring 5 all still finished in the top 10 places of the race.

Justin Chung took second place (26:27), followed closely by freshman Nick Welch (26:56). Nick Welch became only the 3rd Tufts freshman to break the 27:00 barrier on the Farm Course. The previous two were All Americans Nate Brigham '05 and senior, captain Josh Kennedy. Michael Cummings, Dave Sorensen, and Jesse Faller finished with a tight pack at 8th, 9th, and 10th respectively.

The second pack of runners featured Ryan Lena (27:59), Dave Tilton (28:18), Anyenda Inyagwa (28:20), Billy Hale (28:57), and Nate Cleveland (29:04). They all ran very respectable times on the tough course.
